I chose the name My Guitar Diaries because (as well as clearly not being great at coming up with good names) it sums up the purpose behind my site and YouTube channel. They're my attempt to document my own continuing guitar journey, while at the same time hopefully passing on some knowledge using my own unique perspective, taste and experience of playing and teaching guitar. I hope you find something useful.

About
My name is Russell Bremner
I'm a New Malden/Kingston based guitar teacher who has been playing guitar for over 25 years, and teaching for around 10. I've played in numerous bands over the years and have performed at venues throughout Surrey and London, as well as several small UK festivals and overseas gigs. I am also the manager of The Rock Project Kingston - a local after school music school teaching children guitar, bass, drums and vocals.

Although mostly self-taught I'm very well versed in guitar and music theory, and have a distinction in grade 8 electric guitar. I have a recent fully enhanced DBS check and plenty of experience in teaching students of all ages and ability.
​
So whether you just want to learn the basics to be able to strum a few songs round the campfire, or you're keen to study music theory, improvisation and lead guitar in a variety of genres, I've got you covered.
